A visit to discover how a water-powered flour mill used to work
The flour milling trade brought great economic prosperity to the town of Santa Eulària, which had several water mills built alongside its river. In this old farmhouse you can learn about the process of milling cereals thanks to its carefully restored working water mill and the system of canals and irrigation channels that connected the river with the mill and the nearby vegetable gardens and orchards. This interesting visit is part of the self-guided urban walk called the River Walk, which you can do in its entirety (3 km) or just the last section, which runs from the Interpretation Centre to the mouth of the river. Another interesting option is to include a visit to the nearby Can Ros Ethnographic Museum, which will give you a complete overview of what life was like in Ibiza up to the mid-20th century.
