Ca n'Andreu des Trull
A three- hundred-year-old house where you can discover what life was like in the Ibizan countryside until the mid-20th century
On the outskirts of Sant Carles, on a hillside with stunning views of the valley, stands Ca n'Andreu des Trull, a traditional farmhouse with records dating back to 1730 and declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. Whether you are on your way to the beach or on a trip through the villages in the north and east of Ibiza, it is well worth a visit to find out how people used to live on the island in the past, what the traditional layout of the typical Ibizan house was like and the features that characterise it: el porxo (the porch), la casa de jeure de baix (the lower bedroom), las cases de jeure de dalt (the upper bedrooms), la casa de la matança (the pantry), la casa del vi (the wine cellar), el trull (the oil mill), etc. A tip: check out the agenda to see if during your holidays you can join in the periodically held family activities, such as workshops and typical dance (ball pagès) exhibitions.
