Hiking Route 5: Santa Gertrudis – Among reeds and fields

This easy circular route is only 5.9 km long, making it perfect for families to enjoy and discover the green heart of Ibiza at a leisurely pace.

The walk begins in the picturesque village of Santa Gertrudis, one of the most authentic and welcoming spots on the island. From there, the route follows the course of an old riverbed, easily recognised by the lush reeds growing on both sides of the path. The path continues through cultivated fields and gentle wooded areas, where silence is only broken by the songs of birds.

The route ends at the 18th-century church of Santa Gertrudis, welcoming you back to the village centre. Ideal for combining nature, history, and a family snack on one of its charming terraces.
