Hiking Route 1: Es Canar – Between sea and Ibizan tradition

This 11-kilometre circular route combines the best of Ibiza’s coastal and inland landscapes, making it ideal for adventurous families with children aged 12 and over. It is a medium-difficulty hike, perfect for those looking for a varied, unhurried walk with lots to discover.

The trail starts at Es Canar beach, following the coast to Cala Nova, where the Mediterranean shows its wild side. From there, the route heads towards the Sant Carles area, crossing rural roads dotted with priceless heritage sites, such as old farmhouses, wells and agricultural landscapes that tell the island’s most authentic story.
