On the third Thursday in September, the municipality of Sant Josep celebrates Tourist Day, a tribute to the most loyal visitors who have helped the destination to remain at the forefront at an international level. For the occasion, activities are organised around food, traditions, culture, heritage and the natural environment, usually in Playa d'en Bossa and Cala de Bou. The programme generally includes a tasting of typical island sweets, a guided walk or boat trip, musical performances and an exhibition of traditional dancing or ball pagès.
