Can Ros Ethnographic Museum of ibiza

A window onto rural Ibizan architecture and the customs and traditions that have shaped the lives of the islanders for centuries

In the historical complex of Puig de Missa, in Santa Eulària, stands the Can Ros Ethnographic Museum of Ibiza in a farmhouse that is over 300 years old and has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. When you enter the museum, you will travel back to traditional peasant society and learn about their customs and trades, what they used to wear, the legends and sprites they believed in and, of course, the unique features of Ibizan architecture. You can tour the old rooms to admire the permanent ethnographic exhibition, which includes clothing, jewellery, domestic objects, utensils, musical instruments, weapons and everyday items. You can also combine your visit with some of the periodically organised activities, such as children's workshops and traditional craft workshops, treasure hunts, dramatised visits or, at the end of June and beginning of July, the Nits de Museu, a Museum Nights festival, with concerts, recitals and dance and theatre performances.
