Witches, merchants from the Orient, Moorish dancers, sorcerers, Mediterranean pirates, slaves, jesters... The Middle Ages await you! During the second weekend in May, the Dalt Vila neighbourhood and the rest of the historic centre of Ibiza are filled with both historical and legendary characters during the Ibiza Medieval Fair, also known as Medieval Ibiza. A popular event that commemorates the declaration of Ibiza as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.
For three days, the streets are decorated to recreate medieval times, with around 200 stalls selling food and craft products, and numerous activities and shows are organised: theatre, falconry exhibitions, archery, Moorish dances, choral music concerts in churches, medieval jousting on horseback, battles, children's workshops, storytelling...
